A renowned legal luminary and a public affairs commentator, Dr Monday Onyekachi Ubani, SAN, was recently honoured with an award of excellence by the West African Students Association. The award was in recognition of his “Excellent contribution” to the development of law in Nigeria and West Africa generally.
Receiving the award, Dr. Ubani described it as humbling and inspiring. “To whom much is given, much is expected.” I accept this award not as a celebration of what has been done, but as a reminder of the greater work ahead, to mentor, to defend justice, to speak truth, and to uphold the rule of law across our continent”. He said.
He further thanked the students for their thoughtfulness. “The future belongs to you, and I remain committed to supporting your aspirations and advancing legal development for the good of our region. I am grateful”
