It was a day of grandeur, pomp, and celebration as Oke-Ovoro Ezuo Peoples Assembly, the pan sociocultural organization of Oke-Ovoro clan Aboh Mbaise LGA, Imo state held its Easter Meeting and reception to celebrate some of their members who were recently elevated into renowned positions of authority in the society.

The event which took place on Easter Sunday at Oke-Ovoro Ezuo Secretariat, Orie Uvuru,
brought together an extraordinary constellation of top political echelons, galaxy of personalities, influential leaders in Oke-Ovoro, and other eminent sons of Oke-Ovoro, for the special Easter get-together . It was a day devoted to celebrating excellence, resilience, and uncommon achievements of some distinguished sons of Oke-Ovoro.



The event resonated into a stunning moment of deep introspection on the leadership, outstanding imprints , and legacies of Oke-Ovoro Ezuo Peoples Assembly within the shortest period it was formed. It was a day when Oke-Ovoro paused and interjected to honour some of their members whose dedication, resilience ,and strong spirit raised to the upper echelon of the society.
At 1pm, the ceremony unfolded into a spectacular of colour, radiance, and anticipation. The welcome address by the President, Chief Fan Nduboke, brought a sense of fulfilment amongst the members as he highlighted the laudable milestones achieved by the association. He commended the contributions of Oke Ovoro sons like Sir Stanley Amuchie . It became glaring how Chief Fan Nduboke- led Executive Committee has been galvanizing the group for a paradigm shifting and prosperity through effective coordination and dexterity. The president’s speech reignited the spirit of cooperational alliance and sense of commitment among the members.





He was kissed by the parting address of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, AIG Dr Charles Ugomuoh Rtd(Dikeoha Mbaise) who gave flatters to members of the organisation for their unwavering commitment and remarkable exploits in driving the common vision of Oke-Ovoro Ezuo Peoples Assembly.
In his remark, the former Governor of Imo state, Rt Hon. Emeka Ihedioha applauded Oke-ovoro Ezuo Peoples Assembly for their commitment in driving the vision of the organisation, which has reflected in the laudable initiatives embarked by the Assembly for the development of Oke-Ovoro clan.








Another illustrious son of Oke-Ovoro Chief Barr Succees Akagburuonye (Akarugo Ndigbo), who hosted the event, expressed joy on the auspicious contributions of the organisation in the development of Oke-Ovoro clan. Chief Akagburuonye was applauded for taking up the project of erecting perimeter fencing around the Secretariat and also for committing his resources in supporting the building of the Secretariat of Oke-Ovoro Ezuo Peoples Assembly.




Thereafter, award and recognitions were bestowed on some members for their recent elevation to the position of authority. They include HRH Eze Prof. Ikenna Nwachukwu for his emergence and coronation as the traditional ruler of Mbutunwenkwo, HRH Eze Hon. Tony Emeh for his emergence and coronation as the Traditional Ruler of Mbutu Nworie community , CSP Mercy Ekwubiri , on her elevation and appointment as the new Divisional Police Officer in charged of Uvuru police Division. Others are and Dr Maduabuchi Nwachukwu and High chief Engr Stanley Nwaonu for their outstanding service to the organization.

The atmosphere of the venue couldn’t hide its ambience. The venue was gorgeously looking and spectacularly decorated with thrilling shades of red and white colour blending, radianting warmth, and celebration, while members and quests were stupendously fed with assorted foods of palatable taste and quality drinks provided by Chief Barr Succees Akagburuonye.
