Nze Charles Nkwocha is one of the revered Nzes in Ngor Okpala and beyond who blends traditional majesty with cultural adornment. He embodies the essence of traditional leadership and service . Nze Charles Nkwocha, whose installation journey as Akaekpuchionwa I of Logara, can be likened to the journey of divine grace and immense fulfilment, owes God appreciation for a long standing reign on traditional leadership and esteemed service to ndi Logara. 25 solid years as Nze can not be a story of “madam add more meat” rather a story of deep reflection and inspiration.
Installed as Nze on the 6th day of March 2000 by late HRH Eze AO Nwachukwu (Ogaraku I of Logara), Nze Charles Nkwocha’s deep traditional radiance, royal blending and explorative image quality and flourishing love for his community became intriguing to the fancy and admiration of the royal
palace including “Onyeze,” leading to his nomination as the assistant secretary of ‘Ogaraku palace’.
After the transition of Ogaraku I, Akaekpuchionwa’s burbling personage and traditional quintessence enjoyed optimalty and kept on radiating to the grasp apprehension of Ndi Logara, leading to his nomination as chairman of the constitution review committee and a leading member of the Logara Ezeship selection committee. His galvanizing wisdom, native intelligence, and traditional etiquette guided the committee to achieve a seamless and smooth selection process devoid of rancour and “anyi egee kee,” which always characterise ezeship selection process. This led to the emergence of HRH Eze (Sir) Felix Njoku( Ogaraku II of Logara). He was later unanimously elected as the palace secretary of Ogaraku palace.
Since 25 years as Nze, Akaekpuchionwa Logara has stood as a custodian of heritage, a bursling pillar of justice, and a beacon of hope, not only to Ogaraku community but to all who cherish truth, tradition, and progress.
His reign has redefined the essence of royal service marked by wisdom, forthrightness, and an unyielding commitment to the prosperity and dignity of the Logara community. He has shown that true leadership is rooted in service, character, and unwavering conviction, not in noise making or “chochocho”
On the 26th day of October 2025, all roads lead to Umudulu Eziama Logara Ngor Okpala LGA, for the silver Jubilee coronation anniversary of this traditional promax and human octopus, Nze Charles Nkwocha and his amiable lolo. The event will commence with a thanksgiving mass at St. Patricks Catholic church Logara followed by reception at Obi Onyenze.
Akaekpuchionwa, as you celebrate this remarkable milestone, we thank God for your life and pray that He continues to strengthen you with divine grace, good health, and peace. May your legacy continue to guide future generations.
