I Never Compared Imo Governor With Other South East Governors in my Newspaper Interview – Jude Ejiogu.

Arising from a misleading story published on some news blogs misrepresenting his interview with Sun Newspaper, where he was misquoted of saying that the Governors of Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi and Enugu are people with good profiles than that of Imo, the former Secretary to the Government of Imo state and a renowned banker of international repute, Sir Jude Ejiogu has made a clarification correcting the misleading story narrative.

In a press release signed on his behalf by Nicholas Uche, Sir Jude Ejiogu said that his interview was maliciously misrepresented and was quoted out of context.
“Sir Jude Ejiogu was saying that the next governor of Imo state must be someone with verifiable profiles and antecedents like the Governors of Enugu, Abia, Anambra who by the next election will be standing in for comparison with the above Governors. He never said
that the Governors of Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, and Enugu are people with good profiles than that of Imo”

Part of the statement reads
“The attention of Sir Jude Ejiogu has been drawn to a recycled story published in some news blogs misrepresenting his interview with Sun Newspaper where he was misquoted of saying that the Governors of Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi and Enugu are people with good profiles than that of Imo.

After reading the malicious misrepresentation, it becomes imperative to offer a succinct and accurate clarification . In the said interview , Sir Jude Ejiogu was saying that the next governor of Imo state must be someone with verifiable profiles and antecedents like the Governors of Enugu, Abia, Anambra who by the next election will be standing in for comparison with the above Governors”

He accused the purveyor of the story of failing to conceive an in-depth understanding of his submission in the interview before publishing an entirely different story context.

“Unfortunately, the writer ignored all the lucid disclosures and thoughtful submissions made by Sir Jude Ejiogu in the interview and decided to portray an entirely negative narrative and figment of his delusional imagination against the substance and original context of the interview.”

He further dismissed the story as irresponsible, misleading ,and misrepresentation of the fact-filled and well-thought interview granted by him. And urged the public to regard such diversionary fabrication as a demonstration of irrationality and display of hollow emptiness.
