The former minister of state for education, Barr Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, has extended his heartfelt commiserations to the family of Chief Pascal Dozie, who passed away on Monday.
In a statement signed by Barr Nwajiuba and made available to Boldmedia, the former Minister described late chief Pascal Dozie as an eminent entrepreneur and a distinguished elderstatesman whose contributions to the development of Nigerian society are immeasurable.
“Chief Pascal Dozie was not only an eminent philanthropist and elderstatesman but also a true nationalist whose exceptional sacrifice to national development transcended ethnic boundaries.
He was a guiding light in turbulent times, providing wisdom and expertise that were indispensable. His dedication to the betterment of Nigerian society and unwavering commitment to the nation’s economic advancement will remain indelible in the annals of history. “
Barr Nwajiuba prayed God to grant his soul eternal.
Also, a renowned scholar and entrepreneur, Dr Chima Matthew Amadi, has also commiserated with the Dozie family over the demise of Chief Pascal Dozie. Dr Amadi described the late Pascal Dozie as a quintessential community leader and a father figure who shared in the vision of a state where transparency, accountability, rule of law, and good governance are institutionalised.
“Nda Pascal is one of Nigeria’s most visionary entrepreneurs and astute nation-builders.”
“His journey was a shining testament to brilliance, innovation, and an unwavering dedication to Nigeria’s economic and technological advancement.
Beyond his professional achievements, he was deeply admired across generations and indeed acclaimed globally for his integrity, humility, and profound wisdom. “
Dr Amadi said Imo state has lost an illustrious son, an intentional statesman, a quintessential community leader.
“While we mourn his passing, especially at a time his wise counsel was most needed to realizing the Imo State our founding fathers envisioned, we also celebrate an extraordinary legacy, built on excellence, foresight, and an unrelenting commitment to progress”
He further appealed to the federal and state governments to accord a befitting immortality to Chief Pascal Dozie great in recognition of his many impactful contributions to nationhood.
“On behalf of my family, the Jude and Juliana Foundation, and The Mazi Organization (TMO), we extend our deepest condolences to the Dozie family, especially his beloved wife, Nda Chinyere, my brother Uzoma and his siblings as well as the entire Egbu community, Imolites, and Nigerians at large. We pray that God Almighty grants eternal rest to his gentle soul and comfort to all who mourn, in the knowledge that his life was a beacon of impact and service”
The former chairman of National Electricity Regulatory Commission, Dr Sam Amadi, described late chief Pascal Dozie as a
phenomenon.
“He was as accomplished as he was humble and insanely simple. This simplicity is underlined by being just Nda Pascal.
Sometime in 2015, we met in my office in connection with the Geometry Power saga. He showed great sagacity in how he handled an obvious distress.
We met again when i indicated interest to contest Imo Governorship election under APGA. He embraced my candidacy as a transformative moment but wondered whether the crude materialism of Imo politics would allow me to transform the state.
As I mull another plunge into the Imo gubernatorial contest, I consulted him again and he was all in support. It is sad he is gone. We will miss his wisdom, candor, and friendly disposition. “
Dr Amadi further described him as an intelligent man who understood clearly the logic of my Community Action Plan for Prosperity (CAPP), saying that Imo State has lost a legend and Nigeria’s corporate world has lost a pioneering and guiding spirit.
He prayed God to console and comfort his family and community of friends.
