Ramadan: Ex Minister donates food items to Muslim faithful in Imo

In the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan, the former Minister of State for Education Barr Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, has over the weekend donated various food items to the less privileged Muslim faithful in Imo state. The donation was facilitated by his non-governmental organisation called Young Nigerian Voices.

Making the donation at ‘Ama Hausa’ Mosque Douglas Road owerri, the Cordinator of Young Nigerian Voices , Imo state chapter Mr. Sunny Julius said the exercise is a proof of Barr Nwajiuba’s philanthropic gesture, which he has continued to demonstrate for a long time, describing him as a man who is committed to improving the welfare of the less privileged in the Nigerian society.
He further dscribed the Young Nigerian Voices as ” a social-political group consisting of young, patriotic, and progressive Nigerians working towards the building and institutionalization of young, youthful, vibrant leaders into Nigerian hierarchy of political positions”

Speaking to Boldmedia, the leader of the Muslim group, Mallam Hassan Isa expressed gratitude to Young Nigerian Voices for reaching out to the less privileged among them and prayed God to bless the group immensely. Some beneficiaries who spoke to Boldmedia couldn’t hide their joy and happiness for the food items fonated to them.

Speaking to Boldmedia in a telephone chat, the Director General of Young Nigerian Voices, Prince Collins Aboego said the group is a non-governmental and non-religious organization that strongly believes in holistic approach through good leadership anchored on progressivism, with a view to operate along existing political / governance structures in Nigeria.
” The group has its presence registered in the 36 states of the federation, including FCT with chapters in the 6 geo-Political Zones, 109 Senatorial Districts, and 774 LGAs in the country”, he said.

Some of the food items donated include; cartons of indomie, cartons of sausage roll, tomatoes, and other food items.
