Nigerian Soldier Takes Part in #30DaysRantChallenge, Attributes Increasing Fraud to Economic Struggles.

In a viral video making rounds online, a Nigerian soldier has attributed the rise in fraud and other illicit activities among the youth to the country’s worsening economic conditions. The soldier participated in the #30DaysRantChallenge, a social media campaign where Nigerians openly share their frustrations about the nation’s struggles.

“Don’t blame most youths engaging in fraud or other illegitimate businesses. The country is faulty. You finish school, graduate with first-class or second-class honors, and still can’t find a job. There are no opportunities, nothing,” he lamented, emphasizing how Nigeria’s failing economy has made survival increasingly difficult for young people.

He continued, “People resort to fraud and other vices, but who are we to complain? Nigeria is deteriorating every day because the economy is not helping, the government is not helping, and everything is getting expensive.”

The soldier also criticized the continuous rise in the prices of goods, questioning why local costs keep climbing despite Nigeria’s abundant resources.

“I went to the market, bought something for a certain price, and when I returned the next day, it was double. Why? They claim the source price is high, electricity costs are high. How is the Dollar affecting us so much? Can’t we produce things ourselves?” he asked in frustration.

Despite his grievances, he urged Nigerian youths to remain resilient and strive for success through legitimate means.

“Now is the time to push harder. Don’t let the challenges of this country break you. Know that you can achieve greatness. Whatever you lay your hands on, you can be successful while doing it. I’m not advising you to go into illegitimate activities. Do something legal, but give it your best.”

He also warned against letting the nation’s economic struggles drive people toward making poor decisions.

“The economy is bad, but don’t let it affect you. Just do your best, don’t make bad choices to survive.”

The #30DaysRantChallenge, initiated by Ushie Rita Uguamaye, a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and content creator, has been rapidly gaining traction across social media platforms. The movement encourages Nigerians to speak openly about issues like insecurity, economic hardship, and poor governance over a 30-day period.

With millions of participants voicing their concerns, the campaign has become a powerful tool for citizens to demand change and improvements in the country’s socio-political landscape.
